Billing Assistant

Salary: £24,740

Location: Kings Hill/Hybrid

At LASER Energy, we are committed to providing exceptional billing services to our Fully Managed Customers. As a Billing Assistant, you will play a key role in ensuring accurate and timely billing, identifying and resolving supplier billing issues, and working collaboratively with suppliers and internal teams. This is an exciting opportunity to grow within a dynamic team, with the potential to progress to a Billing Specialist through our Career Development Plan.

As a Billing Assistant, you will:

• Monitor and process supplier billing files, ensuring invoices are validated and issued correctly.
• Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies, ensuring all queries are handled promptly.
• Work closely with suppliers and internal teams to improve billing accuracy and efficiency.
• Provide a customer-focused service, ensuring transparent and effective communication.
• Maintain performance metrics, using data insights to enhance billing processes.
• Support process improvement initiatives to streamline operations and enhance service delivery.

What We’re Looking For:

• Strong problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to issue resolution.
• Analytical mindset, with the ability to interpret data and identify trends.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
• Resilience and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in billing, finance, or energy industry (desirable but not essential).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
