Who we are
Community Services is the operational arm of Commercial Services Group (CSG), a unique division which services the community via its two businesses: Landscape Services and CSG Managing Waste.
Landscape Services specialise in the planning, development and management of grounds maintenance for a variety of businesses and organisations, including local authority, housing associations, schools, sports facilities and national parks, as well as private landowners. Its team of over 90 employees deliver services throughout the Southeast of England; from hard and soft landscaping or planting to tree works and playground inspections.
The CSG Managing Waste team provide the day-to-day management of household waste recycling centres and waste transfer stations. The team support five sites in Kent; Maidstone, Dartford and Swanley are household waste recycling centres only, whilst Sevenoaks and Tunbridge Wells have an additional waste transfer station.
Why this role matters
The Service Advisor plays a vital role in supporting the team through effective administration and customer service. The successful candidate will ensure smooth communication between internal teams and external clients, accurate processing of orders and quotations and compliance with business procedures.
What you’ll be doing
- Receive and manage customer enquiries, ensuring timely, accurate responses and high-quality customer service.
- Monitor and manage multiple inboxes, ensuring all correspondence is handled promptly and professionally.
- Process purchase orders accurately, maintain related records, and ensure best value through a managed supply chain.
- Prepare and issue quotations and invoices in a professional and timely manner, maintaining up-to-date records.
- Lead the onboarding process for new customers, creating accounts and agreements in relevant systems.
- Update and maintain CRM and other business systems, including scheduling planned maintenance and amendments.
- Support contract reporting and document management, ensuring compliance with Health and Safety and operational procedures.
What we’re looking for
- Previous administrative experience in a busy commercial environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Computer literate with proficient use of Microsoft Office packages including Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Experienced in providing outstanding customer service.
- Ability to work to tight deadlines and maintain strong attention to detail.
