Early Years Educator
Location: Oaks Day Nursery, Swanley
Salary/package: £25,000 per annum
Contract type: Permanent
Hours: Part time, 32.5 hours per week
This is a part-time and term-time only role based on 32.5 hours per week, covering the hours of 09:00am to 16:00pm, Monday to Friday.
The Education People (TEP) have an exciting opportunity for an Early Years Educator to inspire and support children at the start of their learning journey. The successful candidate will contribute to delivering high-quality early years education within a trusted, values-driven organisation.

What you’ll be doing
- Deliver high-quality care, teaching, and learning in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) standards.
- Support children’s learning and development through stimulating, age-appropriate indoor and outdoor activities.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with parents, families, and colleagues to promote collaboration and self-evaluation.
- Observe, plan, and assess children’s learning, maintaining accurate and up-to-date learning records.
- Follow nursery policies and procedures, ensuring best practice and compliance in daily activities.
- Promote children’s health, safety, and well-being, encouraging safe risk-taking and exploration.
- Contribute actively to the wider development and continuous improvement of the nursery setting.
- Take responsibility for personal professional development and ongoing learning.
What we’re looking for
- Hold a minimum of Level 3 full and relevant Early Years qualification.
- Substantial post-qualification experience working with child and families within an EYFS setting.
- Relevant first aid and safeguarding training with willing to update these when required.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Experience of working with families to enhance their involvement in children’s learning.
