Why this role matters
The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring schools can confidently use and maximise their MIS platforms, including SIMS, Arbor, Bromcom and FMS. By providing expert guidance, troubleshooting issues, and supporting key statutory processes, you’ll help schools operate smoothly and effectively. This role is central to empowering staff, improving efficiency, and driving positive outcomes across the education system.
What you’ll be doing
- Provide professional, friendly, and knowledgeable support to schools using MIS platforms such as SIMS, Arbor, Bromcom, and FMS.
- Investigate system issues or support requests and determine the most effective solutions or escalate when required.
- Advise schools on best practices to optimise MIS usage and improve processes.
- Support schools in completing statutory returns and generating accurate reports.
- Communicate software updates and developments to schools in a clear and timely manner.
- Ensure all support activity is documented accurately and in line with standards and procedures.
- Liaise with schools to assist with system migrations and enable SIMS Next Gen adoption.
- Collaborate with colleagues and senior consultants to resolve complex issues and share knowledge.
- Develop personal expertise through training, continuous learning, and embracing new systems.
What we’re looking for
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written
- Previous customer service experience
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
- Knowledge of MIS, particularly Sims, Arbor and Bromcom is desirable but not essential
- A strong team player with brilliant research, analytical and interpretive skills.
