Location: Hackney/Hybrid
Salary: Up to £33,000 (dependent on experience)
About the Role:
We are looking for a confident and driven Senior Resourcing and Customer Service Assistant to join our dynamic team at Connect2Hackney. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a people-focused, fast-paced environment and wants to make a real impact on candidate experience and service delivery. You’ll lead candidate attraction initiatives, manage key stakeholder relationships, and support the Customer Service Assistants with coaching and mentoring.
Key Duties:
- Lead on candidate attraction by advertising roles and sourcing via job boards, social media, job fairs, and referrals.
- Oversee the screening and selection process, including shortlisting, interviewing, and safeguarding checks.
- Manage candidate compliance in line with vetting, referencing, and safeguarding requirements through the Connect2Hackney screening portal.
- Support and coach team members, sharing best practice and assisting with workload management.
- Act as the first point of escalation for complex candidate or hiring manager queries.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with candidates, hiring managers, and agency partners.
- Attend and lead candidate engagement events, such as open days and job fairs.
- Ensure all candidate and vacancy information is accurately maintained within Connect2Hackney systems.
- Collaborate with Talent Partners and the wider management team on workforce planning.
- Prepare and present recruitment reports on key metrics such as candidate availability and compliance status.
- Use market insights to contribute to service improvements and enhance candidate experience.
What we need from you:
- Previous experience in recruitment, resourcing, or a similar people-focused role
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal
- Strong administrative and organisational skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a busy environment
- High level of attention to detail and data accuracy
- Experience mentoring or coaching others is desirable
- Knowledge of safeguarding and compliance processes (preferred)
